Kahlil Kwame Bell Foundation Brings Music and More to South Brunswick Senior Center

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The sounds of jazz echoed through the South Brunswick Senior Center on Thursday, courtesy of the Kahlil Kwame Bell Foundation. There's always a lot going on at the township senior center, but on October 8, Bell brought some energetic, toe-tapping jazz to close out the day. About 20 members joined in on Bell's interactive rhythm workshop.

The Kahlil Kwame Bell Foundation is a non-profit organization that uses live music to bring together seniors, kids and disadvantaged communities. Bell's foundation offers different programs to inspire education, healing, wellness and cultural pride through music.

“Our slogan is Rhythm Has Purpose," Bell said in his introduction. “I've been doing this for a very long time, but my main focus is to take this music out of clubs and bring it to more people.”
